When Things Get Toxic
This weekend we begin a new series entitled, “When Things Get Toxic.” Steve and I are excited about this series.
We begin this Sunday with guest, Gary Thomas. Gary’s writing and speaking focuses on bringing people closer to Christ and closer to others. He is the author of 18 books that have been translated into over a dozen languages.
These books include Cherish, Sacred Marriage: What if God Designed Marriage to Make Us Holy More Than to Make Us Happy?, The Sacred Search: What If It’s Not About Who You Marry, but Why?, Sacred Pathways, and the Gold Medallion award winner, Authentic Faith.
Gary’s message is entitled “When to Walk Away.” It’s a message drawn from his latest book. His book speaks about when to leave toxic relationships, which is an important discernment question to answer.
Tackling the theme of when marriages get toxic, Gary will offer some candid advice based on strong biblical values and years of ministry experience.
This topic is one of the topics often ignored from the pulpit. Even if your marriage is in great shape, Gary’s message will challenge and inspire you to keep working through the stuff that, if left unchecked, invariably leads to things getting toxic.
If you are in a marital relationship that isn’t in the place you want it to be, or frankly, you feel it’s close to the end, this is a Sunday you simply shouldn’t miss.
As the series progresses we dig into relationships we can change, but can never fully abandon: kids, local community, city of residence, local church, or nation of origin.
It’s going to be a powerful series. We hope you can join us on Sundays at 9 or 10:45AM EST or even online at live.centralwesleyan.org
Furthermore, there’s still time to sign up for the Cherish Marriage Event happening at Central with Gary on Saturday.
So looking forward to this series and to our weekend together.
